Working as the broker between the artist and client, we ensure that you commission the most appropriate artist for your project and we are able to advise and guide you every step of the way. Fine Art Commissions represents more than 30 of the finest artists; established and talented newcomers.
The art of successful portrait commissions
Fine Art Commissions’ expert professional guidance, and constantly updated market insights, are independent of artists’ societies. Objective and selective, we support more than 30 portrait artists, removing the administrative burden of the portrait process leaving them free to focus on the magic of creating a great work of art.
We only represent portrait artists with the consistency, accuracy, and flair to hit the mark. While bespoke artworks can be complex, our business model is simple; we charge no more than approaching the artist directly and offer a service, which is free of charge. Added value, for no extra cost.
Over time we have created and refined a multi-stage process, with achievable goals at every step. Click below to help better understand what is involved and remove the mystery from a simple hybrid of commissioning and execution that works for client and artist alike.

Fine Art Commissions has two gallery spaces. Our London Gallery is located on Ryder Street, St James’s, in the heart of the art world of London. Just up the road from Christie’s, and nestled in amongst a number of established art institutions, our gallery is well worth a visit. In October we will be opening our second premises in the hugely popular village of Ham, Wiltshire. Four miles west of the antique hub, Hungerford.
